Ellory H. Lane

Hi, I'm Ellory, an Engineer from Michigan.

I am a mechanical engineer currently located in Troy, Michigan.

I started my engineering journey in 2013 at Vermont Technical College (VTC), in the Vermont Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) program. This high school senior program allowed me to attend college full time, in freshman level classes. This lead me to Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where I studied Mechanical Engineering Technology in their 5 year bachelor program. During this time, I completed 4 semesters of full time co-op. My experience at VTC allowed me to pursue 2 additional co-op semesters, resulting in 18 months of professional experience at the time of my graduation. My first two co-ops were with Rochester Gear and Special Metals (PCC Metals Group), where I was a manufacturing engineer. Last, I was a product concepts engineer with Magna Powertrain.

Once I received my diploma, I moved to Russells Point, Ohio to work for Honda as a transmission engineer, and later a product engineer. From Ohio, I moved to Troy Michigan to work as a vehicle verification engineer for Magna Powertrain.

Outside of work I maintain a plethora of hobbies from 3D printing, to a home theater, to off-roading. I enjoy traveling, working on my Jeep, and casual landscaping around the house.
